[edit] What?
These are very rough calculations based on the Calculations from Sustainable Energy without the Hot Air and using data from the CIA World Factbook. This is meant to be an initial demonstration of the types of calculations that can be done by using linked data sources.
[edit] Demo
Note: these calculations still need to be checked

[edit] Consumption
[edit] Total Electricity consumption vs. Land area
[edit] Per Capita Energy from Natural Gas, Oil, and Electricity
This is only for oil consumption for an entire country, and will include industry and personal use. All values for energy have been converted from yearly figures into kWh per person per day.
[edit] Theoretical Renewable Energy Production
[edit] Potential Energy from Biomass
This assumes energy capture of 0.5 W/m2 over all the arable land of a country.
